Love this audiobook. I don’t do a whole lot of reviews for audio books due to my pickiness. The story is great, sweet takes your heart away to a much better place. I’m looking forward to reading or listing to the other books in this series. The listing aspect is great, narration was done wonderful.

You get to meet Sebastian and Ava in this story. Sebastian is the head CEO of a family owned company. He comes from a family of 9 kids that all play a very special role in each other’s lives (meddlesome). Ava has always wanted a sibling or two. These two find an attraction to each other that just seem to not stop, even when it could cost Ava her job. You will love this all around light hearted read that just takes you away to a much calmer place. I enjoy every minute of this book. I’m looking forward to reading the next.

Chapter Five

Po’Boy opened his eyes a slit to see a figure looming over him
in the darkness. The flaring light from the bonfire was barely enough to let
him recognize an ally, Wrench. A CoBo member who had known Penny her entire
life. One who had a thing for her once, giving way when Twisted staked his
claim. Wrench was looking down at Po’Boy, and he was about to sit up and greet
him when the expression on the man’s face caught his attention.

It was avid. Hungry.

Wrench’s gaze was trailing along Po’Boy’s form, pausing at his
chest, then moving down to his crotch. His nostrils flared, and the muscles in
his jaw tensed, jumping as he ground his teeth together.

Aroused.

Po’Boy’s cock twitched, and the movement must have been
visible because he watched as Wrench’s tongue came out in a languorous swipe
across his bottom lip. What the fuck?

A sound from by the bonfire pulled Wrench’s gaze away, and he
took a step backwards, then two, before turning and stalking into the darkness.

What. The. Fuck?

Seventeen
Po’Boy
Po’Boy waited in silence, or as much silence as he could
manage. It was hard and becoming more difficult by the second as the pressure
on his hand increased. Twisting his neck, he looked, even as he told himself
not to, and saw the balloon-like swelling of his fingers, skin stretched taut.
Purple with pooling blood, he didn’t know how much more strain his flesh could
take without bursting. For a moment he reconsidered the silent thing, because
while screaming wouldn’t help, it couldn’t hurt.
The trap was simple, and elegant. Noose around his ankle,
tight and secure, positioned where he couldn’t reach. It had been laid in a
hallway, rag rug tossed over it to conceal the presence of the rope. All it
took was him creeping through the darkness looking for Deuces, and a step in
the wrong place. Snap, the trap tripped, and he’d been dragged down the hallway
like a rabbit lure at hound races.
The one on his hand was harder to explain, but he remembered
reaching out for something, anything to slow his terrifying rush up the
hallway. Pulled to a jolting stop, his shoulder joint stretched to near
breaking, anchored to a point somewhere along the path. Once the shock wore
off, he’d looked up to see a thin wire wrapped around his hand and wrist. But
the motor pulling on his leg hadn’t stalled. Oh, no. That bitch is quality
machinery. Fuck. Hadn’t stopped and was actively pulling, whining as it worked
overtime to continue its job. The wire around his wrist was small, thin, and
looked disturbingly like a cheese slicer against his skin.
Images from text books ran through his mind, of men suspended
from ropes, tied to four horses, one for each appendage. Drawn and quartered,
but in his case he figured it was halved. The sound of the motor changed,
nearly stalling, and he hoped this meant the clutch was giving out. Fucking
finally. Then another sound rattled through the hallway, and he twisted his
head to look towards the front of the building. Standing in the opening was a
man. He wasn’t moving, was just standing there quietly. From the tilt of his
head, Po’Boy knew he was looking down at him. Not moving, not jumping to help,
not saying anything.
Not friend, then. Can’t hurt to ask. It did hurt like a
motherfucker just to lay there, so asking was where he’d head.
“Little help?” Rough and hoarse from holding quiet for so
long, Po’Boy watched as the man’s head swung back and forth, slowly. “Oh, come
on, man. You can’t be fuckin’ serious.”
“As a heart attack,” the man told him, stepping forwards and
into the light shining through a window in a room opening onto the hallway.
Slender, with long red hair pulled low on his neck into a simple queue, the man
looked like anyone you might pass on the street. Nondescript, dressed in
clothes which wouldn’t pull someone’s gaze twice. He was everybody, and nobody.
“You’re in quite the pickle, Po’Boy.”
Well, fuck. If he knows who I am, then I’m screwed. The motor
whined and stuttered, then caught, and at the resulting yank, Po’Boy felt the
cable around his hand break the skin, finally.

“New guy.”  Someone muttered behind me.
I turned only my head to find Stone, the president, staring at me with hard eyes.
“Yeah?” I asked him, dropping my bag on the floor and heading in his direction instead of out the door like I’d originally intended.
“You’re here because you have a special set of skills that we need.”  The leader of the band of misfits, Stone, drawled.
I nearly laughed.
“That sounds like a bad line out of a movie.” I muttered, wondering where he was going with this.
He tossed me a glare and then yelled.
“Truth!”  Stone yelled.  “Ghost! Get the fuck in here!”
Ghost and Truth walked in the door at the same time, both of them turning to the side to walk inside, and stared at Stone
“Ghost, hold Truth down so New Guy can give him the fuckin’ shot.” Stone grumbled.
Ghost tackled Truth and wrestled him to the desk, then sat on him while Stone leaned back and watched.
“No, motherfucker!” Truth yelled.  “I don’t want it!”
“It’s the fuckin’ flu shot, you dumb shit.  Not a fuckin’ tracking device. Take a fuckin’ chill pill.”  Stone grumbled, staring at the scuffle that was going down in front of him.
I picked up the syringe from the table, similar to the one I’d given everybody else’s flu shot with, and stabbed it in the meat of Truth’s arm.
Truth bellowed in rage, and I flipped the guard up on the syringe before tossing it into the trash can.
“Done?” I asked Stone.  “I have to get to work.”
Stone nodded.
“Yeah, thanks.” He nodded. “Have fun at the nut house.”
I grunted something unintelligible, causing him to laugh.
“Don’t sound so excited.” He laughed.
I flipped him off and walked out the door just as Ghost was letting Truth up
“Why you gotta be such a big motherfucker?”  Truth growled.  “If you’d been anyone else, I’d have gotten away.”
“Why do you think I called Ghost instead of anyone else?”  I heard Stone reply.

Snippet #1
I wake with a start. Something’s not right. When I open my eyes, I know immediately what it is.
Lucas is propped up with his back against the headboard and he’s looking down at me with an amused expression. I blink a couple of times, thinking I’m seeing things, but then the memories of last night slam into me.
Oh holy cow, I slept with my boss and he’s still in my bed. Naked. Crap.
“Good morning, beautiful.”
“Oh my God,” I whisper before diving under the covers. I can’t believe I’ve done this. I should never be allowed to drink wine ever again. I’m naked, in bed, with my boss. I mean, could I screw this whole situation up any more? I was just meant to be cleaning his room, and now look. I was more than happy when I thought he was a smooth-talking businessman, but now I’ve seen that’s only one side of him. Last night, he was anything but. I’m in trouble. Serious trouble.


Snippet #2
I’m just pouring the milk in when I hear the door click shut. I look around the corner to see Lucas walking in, looking a little like the morning after we first slept together. I swear my girly parts do a little dance at the sight of him.
He just unzips his hoodie before he looks up and spots me. His eyes shine with what I hope is excitement as they run down my body, which is covered in his perfect white shirt.
I do the exact same thing as I run my eyes over every inch of the sexy bad boy in front of me. He’s wearing a pair of low slung jogging bottoms with the waistband of his boxers showing. His black hoodie is undone, showing off the glistening sculpted perfection underneath. He has his hood up, making him look like the bad boy you should never talk to, let alone get close to.
I watch, amazed, as he reaches up and knocks the hood off his head. He runs his hands through his hair, making it stick out in all directions.
“Enjoying yourself?” he asks with a smirk.
“Guys in suits with perfect hair aren’t really my thing. This though,” I say as I start walking towards him. “This is spot on.” I run my hands up his chest and over his shoulders, giving his hoodie the push it needs to fall down his arms.
I squeal in surprise when I’m suddenly thrown over his shoulder.
“Lucas, what are you doing?” I shout as he walks us to the bathroom and straight to the walk-in shower. He doesn’t answer, just turns its on, and we are both blasted with ice cold water.
“Lucas,” I squeal again as I wriggle in his tight hold to try to get away. I have no hope though; he’s too strong.
“What? Didn’t you want a shower?” he asks with an amused glint in his eye.
This is the Lucas I like: the rough-looking, demanding, slightly arrogant bad boy. Who needs a guy in a suit when you can have one of these?

As I walk around to the driver’s side, I can’t help being unsure of whether I’m pleased or not that people fall for this act. But then, I guess I’ve played the part for so long now it’s almost normal. The suits, the money, the flashy cars. Lilly might have the impression I’m something impressive, but under all this, I’m far from the person she thinks I am. I know she’s thinking that she’s not good enough for all this, but if she only knew the truth: that she is the one that is way too good for me.

I have loved every one of the books in this series; Bad Deeds delivers just like the others have. Bad Deeds takes you be in the lives of Shane and Emily.  It just keeps getting more and more in the heart of the Brandon Empire and the twisted dealing going on with the family business. Shane is on a mission to get to the bottom of it and clear the Brandon name. 

Many more secrets have come to light and making it harder to trust the ones you thought you could. Shane faces many more trials as he tries to keep things from going under. Emily has her limits tested can she push through the past to see the future as it is and not what her past tells her it will be. 

I love the suspense of this book and the test of true love. This one makes you think and wonder if you were in their place could you survive it all and come out on top. Amazing read Lisa, looking forward to End Game!!!! Waiting to see who will really win this game.

“What is in your head right now?”

His eyes heat, darken. “You. Always.” He inches back and looks at me. “You’re mine. Mine to protect.” His voice is low, fierce, and he grips my panties and yanks them away. “Mine to fuck.”

I gasp and grab his shoulders. “Shane.”

His answer is to wrap his arm around my waist, pull me close, his cheek against mine, his fingers pressing into the V of my body. “Wet, just the way I like you,” he says, pressing two fingers inside me. “Wet for me. And too fucking perfect for my sanity sometimes.”

“That doesn’t sound like a compliment,” I pant out, grabbing the lapel to his suit as a sweet ache begins to build in my sex as his thumb strokes my clit.

“And no one else,” he murmurs, nipping my earlobe, “will ever touch you like this.” His fingers caress deeper inside me. “No one,” he adds, “will ever make you say their name like I want you to say mine right now. Say it.”

“Shane,” I whisper, and not because he wants me to, but rather because it’s there on my lips, the way I wish his tongue was on my lips now. “Shane, I—”

Seeming to know what I need, he cups my head and kisses me, long, slow, sensual strokes of his tongue that somehow make every touch of his fingers more intense.

“Come for me,” he murmurs, and this time when he kisses me, I start climbing that wall to release, and I’m there at the top in an instant. I stiffen while his fingers and tongue tease, please, and then I jerk, I’m over it, tumbling in an instant into shudders and shakes. Shane’s lips lift from mine as he breathes with me. His fingers slow as he eases me through the waves until I collapse against his chest.

He tangles his fingers in my hair and drags my mouth back to his. “And no one but me will ever make you come like that again,” he declares, the waves of his emotions beating down any embarrassment I might feel over having had an orgasm on his father’s desk.

“No one has ever made me feel what you make me feel, Shane.”
