Forever Winter Final
Summary Forever Winter:

Steve Borgia should be happy that Autumn Winters is back in his life. A drunken brawl with a prostitute has cost Steve his teaching job, though, forcing him to flip burgers at the Greece Hut. Plus, Steve never knows if, or when, Autumn’s going to skip town again.

Fed up with his fast food career, Steve decides to follow in his famous father’s footsteps and return to the wrestling ring. The money’s good, but the new job is taking its toll on both his body and his relationship with Autumn. Even if they get past their tumultuous breakup/make up, will Steve be in any condition to enjoy it?

Meanwhile, electric guitar virtuoso and arachnid expert Eleanor Crawley has to navigate her own crisis. When her boyfriend Phil is caught in a compromising position with a co-worker and the image goes viral on social media, she is utterly humiliated. But is dumping Phil for a guy like quintessential “lady’s man” Rich Richards really a good idea? And if she could only quit dreaming about being in bed with Steve…and Autumn…

Forever Winter takes you from the mean streets of New York City to the neon lights of Tokyo. You’ll laugh, you’ll sigh, and you’ll be glad you came along for the ride.

Excerpts:

1 – “You were gonna say ‘until I got off,’ weren’t you?” Rex said, slapping

Phil on the shoulder. “Don’t take it bad, Philly boy, women are

hard to please. Sometimes you need, heh heh, mechanical assistance…”

“What?” Crawley said as Phil slapped a palm over his face.

“He is speaking of vibrators, ja?” Sven said.

“Oh,” Crawley said, giggling.

“Please stop talking,” Phil said, his cheeks flushed.

“You really don’t have a vibrator?” Rex said. “I thought all women

had vibrators. Shelly has a whole collection.”

“For god’s sake,” Phil said.

“…different heads, different sizes…she even has one that’s shaped

like John Holmes.”

“Who’s John Holmes?” Crawley said.

“Legendary porno movie star,” Sven said. “He had a twenty centimeter

penis.”

“Centimeter?” Rex said. “This is America, Sven, we use inches!”

“Actually,” Crawley said, “as of 1982, the United States has officially

adopted the metric system.”

No wonder Tech support lines are so damn slow

2 – “The pink stuff has some nasty chemicals in it,” said Crawley,

pushing her hand away. “I usually drink unsweetened tea, but this

stuff —”

“Eleanor, honey,” Lexi said condescendingly, “how are you going

to squeeze into those tight designer jeans when you’re all bloated up

from empty calories?”

“Actually, that’s a misnomer,” Crawley said as she dumped the

packet into her awaiting drink. “You see, there’s no such thing as

empty calories. A calorie is the energy it takes to heat up one milliliter

of water one degree. There is such a thing as too many calories, but

ostensibly there’s nothing bad about sugar. It’s better for you than

the cocktail of lethal ingredients in artificial sweetener.”

Lexi and Char stared at for a moment and then started laughing.

“Right,” Lexi said, giggling, “sugar is good for you!”

3 – Steve’s jaw set hard, and he put his hand on her knee.

“I need you Autumn, I really do, the way grass needs rain.”

She put her hand on top of his, eyes boring deeply into his own.

“I know. I need you too, Steve. Don’t you believe that?”

“I do believe it. But I need more than that. I need you to believe.

I need to know that you believe in me, in us.”

Autumn’s jaw fell open, and she stiffened. Her voice had a scoffing

note to it when she spoke.

“I believe in us!”

“Do you?” Steve said, but she had stuck her head out the window

to yell at a particularly nasty driver she had offended.

“Blow it out your ass, you cum stain!” she bellowed at top volume.

“Yeah, I’m talking to you! What? What you gonna do? My boyfriend is

huge! He’ll kick your ass!”

When she pulled her head back inside the car, he had to smile

a bit.

“Let’s go before we end up on one of those video clip shows where

people fight in the middle of traffic.”

“I like those shows,” she said with a giggle, causing more bedlam

in traffic as she rudely pulled out in front of another car. “Especially

the ones with Sheriff John what’s his name, you know the guy with

the orange spray tan and that annoying ‘told you so’ voice?”

“These fugitives,” Steve said in a high pitched, annoying way,

“thought they were going to get a free ride. But they couldn’t drive

far enough to escape the long arm of the law!”

Autumn chortled so hard she nearly slammed into the rear of

a huge pickup truck.

4 – Autumn grabbed him under the chin and kissed him forcefully.

“Never mind…right now, I don’t give a shit who hears us.”

She squirmed in his arms playfully as he swept her off to the

bedroom. Steve dropped her onto the mattress. Autumn got on all

fours facing him, eyes half-lidded and a coy smile on her face. She

reached out her hand and unbuckled his belt. Steve stroked her silken

hair gently, a slightly perplexed smile on his face.

“What?” Autumn said, pausing when she had his fly half undone.

“Nothing. I was just thinking you’re beautiful.”

“Pffft.” Autumn rolled her brown eyes. “There’s better looking

chicks, sugar.”

“Come on, you could have any guy you wanted.”

“Shut up and take off your pants.”

Steve laughed, then slipped out of his shoes and then his trousers.

He was ready, his member lunging out of his boxers at her. Autumn

leaned forward and put her mouth to work. She kneaded his buttocks

with her hands, playing him the best way she knew how.

“God,” he said, putting his hands gently on the back of her head.

A soft rain pattered against the window, the subtle hiss of it falling

masking the street noise. Her soft, brown eyes enveloped him in a

gaze which suggested he was the only thing that mattered in that

instant. Autumn’s lips and tongue worked together, slippery and

sliding along the length of his cock. He tried to hold out, but she

knew him very well at that point, knew just how to please him best.

She felt him spasm, receiving the results of her efforts even when he

tried to warn her it was coming.

“You’re so bad,” he said as she leaned back on the bed and smiled.

“Aye,” she said, affecting a Scottish brogue, “the way you like it!”

“Was that a Highlander reference?”

“Is that the one where the guys are hacking at each other with

swords in the middle of New York?”

“Yeah.”

“Never seen it. I’m not a nerd.”

She burst out laughing when Steve sputtered. His face was crossed

with a playfully sinister look. He crawled onto the bed, lightly shoving

her on her back when she rose to try to kiss him.

Summary for Forever Autumn:

Life’s going well for Steven Borgia. Sure, he may not be a famous professional wrestler like his father, the legendary Deathslayer, but he has carved out a niche for himself as a beloved kindergarten teacher in New York City. There’s just one thing missing: someone special to share his life with.

When Steve meets the sharp-tongued Autumn—a big wrestling fan—he’s mesmerized by her sarcastic and bold personality. Feisty and foul-mouthed, she seizes life by the throat and refuses to let it go. They may seem like opposites at first, but they complement each other very well. After all, differences make good sparks, and there are plenty of sparks both in and out of the bedroom.

Steve’s new happiness is threatened, however, when Autumn’s life is in jeopardy. Only her estranged father can save her, and he’s nowhere to be found. Can Steve and his bizarre assortment of friends and family reconcile the two before tragedy strikes?

I’ve been waiting for love. I’ve watched my closest family find their perfect match, and it’s made me realize my current boyfriend is not mine. When a stranger comes to town, I’m intrigued, but not ready to give up my newfound freedom. A whirlwind of events throws us into each other’s path, where I eventually discover I’m the teacher of his youngest sister. Concerned about Amaryllis’ reading, I take on the role of mentor to her. Soon I learn a lesson or two from big brother, Leon Ramirez. In a push and pull, we struggle as we each have demons in our past.

A smart girl would never stay in a bad relationship.

A gang member could never want more from his life.

Stereotypes remain false words.

As I learn to fight for love, I find that words do matter.

Sometimes they can hurt more than sticks and stones.

excerpt

She was out of my league in more ways than one, but I noticed her long brown hair, skimming down her back, hanging straight. I hadn’t noticed before that she had some kind of highlights that shimmered in the harsh fluorescent lighting of the room. Just the sight of her brought tightness to my chest. I couldn’t get enough air. I was about to walk away, knowing I could never be involved with her, when I changed my mind and opened the door to hear her let out a squeak.

“You scared the crap out of me,” she hissed, but with a small smile. My breath hitched when she looked at me, then her face hardened slightly.

“Mr. Ramirez. I haven’t seen you in a while. How are you?” She was all formal politeness as if I were some student’s father.

“Ms. Carter. I’m fine, and you?” I replied with mockery in my voice.

She smirked at me and then returned to finish writing on her white board. I took in the classroom, noting that it was for younger students, but not really noticing anything at all. I sat at a desk in the front row then slid my palms over to the edge of the flat surface and gripped it.

“So this is your classroom,” I said, not really knowing what to say.

“Yes. I believe you are familiar with it as you clean it each night.”

I grunted, and looked away.

“You always work late.” It was said as a question, but was more of a statement.

“I work hard…and I have a lot to do.”

I might have thought she was dismissing me, but I didn’t move from the desk.

“Tell me what you do.”

She turned and glared at me, as if I had insulted her.

“I mean, tell me what you have to do so late each night. Why aren’t you home, or on a date?” This last question I didn’t want answered. Maybe she did have dates. I wouldn’t know and shouldn’t care.

“I have to get organized for the next day. Plan. Grade. Contact parents.” She leveled a stare at me.

I only nodded in response.

“Do you have a lot of naughty children?” I laughed.

“Naughty?”

“You know, misbehaved, so that you have to call their parents.”

“Not many. I call more with concerns related to academics.” She glared my way again before straightening something on her desk.

“I got in trouble a lot in school,” I began, looking at her as she continued to ignore me. She was purposely doing it now, because she’d straightened the same pile several times, even though it was already neatly stacked.

“Uh-huh,” she pretended disinterest.

“Stared out the window. Teased the girls. Talked a lot in class.”

She looked up at me finally and raised an eyebrow above her sexy glasses.

“I was a good student, academically,” I emphasized, “but I was bored and that can lead to trouble.”

She came around her desk and sat on the edge, listening intently.

“I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I made some…poor decisions. I was in two different high schools, and it was when I was a junior that things changed for me. I had an AP Physics teacher that believed in my potential and helped me apply to college. I’d be the first one in my family to ever go.”

I was lost in the thought of Mr. Croft, who’d pushed me to work harder and do better in order to make the basketball team with passing grades. When I was a senior, Mr. Croft helped me fill out the forms for Northeastern and secure the necessary student scholarship. I hated to think that I might have disappointed Mr. Croft by taking this break in my senior year.

I looked up at Tricia, who was watching me.

“I wanted to be a pro-basketball player, but that wasn’t going to happen by attending a Chicago city university. Physics was my next favorite subject, and I’m good with my hands and building things. I like to study things like motion. Basketball is all physics.” I held my hands up as if to show her my physical tools, then felt silly and returned them to grip the edge of the desk. She walked over to stand in front of the desk where I sat and balanced against the edge of it.

“When I had to…when I came up here, I had to put it all on hold; hopefully only until January,” I added the last part and looked at her sheepishly. She seemed to be attentively listening and not judging me. I could tell in the way she held her hand under her chin, fingers wrapped around her exposed neck. She appeared thoughtful and I wanted her to know something about me. I wanted her to understand that I was trying to keep my life together. I had a goal.

“What?” she asked and I saw her swallow. I hadn’t realized how long I’d been staring at her.

“I’m trying to imagine getting in trouble by you as my teacher,” I lied to cover the stare. “I don’t think you could be intimidating.”

“Intimidating? I can be intimidating,” she laughed.

“Doubt it. Pretend I just teased someone or talked too much, and give me your best Ms. Carter scowl or reprimand.”

She laughed and then tried to straighten her face. She bit her lip, which was more seductive and playful than frightening, and I assumed she did it to hold back another laugh. She leaned across the desk, hands on either side of the flat writing surface, and looked down at me over those glasses. She was trying to be firm, but I could tell again that she was struggling. She tugged at her own lip to hold the smile. She had pressed her breasts together, unknowingly. My eyes wandered down her neck to the V-cut and her exposed cleavage.

“Are you looking at my breasts?” she gasped.

“Well, you put them in my face and if I was twelve, I would be so distracted I wouldn’t mind getting in trouble.”

She gasped even louder and pushed off the desk, but my quick hands imprisoned each of her wrists, holding her palms on the desktop.

I blatantly looked at her rising breasts, pressed firmly together and bursting out of the V in her sweater. My eyes climbed up her soft looking neck to her jaw, and then to her mouth before I met her eyes. Those glasses were too damn hot.

“You aren’t very scary as a teacher,” I said, not recognizing my own voice.

“You aren’t scary, either,” she replied, but I knew she was lying. Her ragged breathing gave away the fine line between thrill and threat. I wouldn’t hurt her. I could never hurt a woman the way I had seen others do it. I wouldn’t ever stand by and watch others hurt women.

My hand slowly slid up one of her forearms and I could feel her tremble under my touch. Her mossy colored eyes sparkled with gold flecks. I could be lost in them forever, if I let her in. But I couldn’t do that.

“You play the role of naughty teacher pretty well,” I teased.

“Naughty teacher?” she gasped again, trying to pull out of my firm hold on her.

“You know you have the sexy, tease factor going on. And the glasses…” I smiled slightly as she turned a shade of pink. Pink was definitely becoming one of my favorite colors on her. I wanted to trace the line of that blush as it traveled from somewhere within her sweater, up her neck, and over her face.

“Tease?” she questioned firmer.

The door to her room opened with a swoosh sound.

“Missa Carter, you work too hard.” Damn that Italian accent.

I released her at the same time she pulled back abruptly, and her foot slipped in her high heels. I reached for her as she regained her composure by gripping the desk a second time to prevent from falling. She looked at me with those mischievous sparkling eyes and a bit of anger. With my hands on her upper arms, I tried to right her from slipping. It pressed her breasts even closer together between her arms. As she clasped the front of the desk, facing me, she almost burst forth from the V-shape in the sweater. My eyes traveled downward before glancing up at her face.

“Bad teacher,” I whispered, shaking my head. Her shocked expression was priceless. I wanted to kiss her. I wanted to kiss her so badly, and that made me a bad boy.

Series: Bad Boys of Retribution MC #1
Author: Rie Warren
Genre: Contemp Erotic Romance
Release Date: June 2, 2015
From the world of Carolina Bad Boys! Hunter Sexton is too hot to handle..
Hunter:
My call-sign is GHOST. My roadname, too. I keep my head down, stay off the grid, fly under the radar. I’m the rough, gruff, good guy who does bad things for pay.
JB is my most recent mistake. The MC babe is innocence wrapped up in a rockin’ body. Don’t get me wrong, she has a wicked side, too. She’s kickass in bed, when we make it that far. But she’s the ultimate wholesome good girl, and I don’t want to dirty her up.
Hey, no one said life was all fun and games, right?
JB:
Good girl? I prefer to think of myself as a rebellious hellion. I live my life like I ride my bike: carefree, in your face, and full throttle. My soft side? Well, that’s reserved for my job.
I’m not looking for love, and I certainly don’t need any relationship complications. Too bad complicated is the only way Hunter comes.
He’s a quiet, deadly storm. He prowls. He hunts me. He wants me. He’s sexy, sinful . . . secretive. Hunter will turn my life inside out no thanks to his dangerous past about to come back and bite us both in the ass.
Who’s gonna save us now?
Warning: Graphic sex, graphic action, graphic language. Triple X caution.
Review-gold

I was on a kick with MC reads and was offered a shot to review Hunter, so glad to say that I took that chance and ran with it. I have not read a Rie Warren book till Hunter, all I can say is I was missing a lot. Not only is she a great writer but she is one that can keep the pages turning.

Hunter better known to most as Ghost is the bad boy all are momma’s warned us about. His is sexy as hell and one man you just can’t get enough of. He walks in a room and you just know nothing is going to get past him.

He is knocked on his butt when JB walks in the club. Ghost might be able to say he wants not part of her but his heart has other plans. JB is a little mystery in one hot package. She knows what she wants and takes it.

I can’t wait to see what come next for these two. One great hot read that any Romance fanatic will love. Rie amazing job!

Stalking to her, I kept my gaze locked on
hers. “Enough sightseeing.” I returned the photo to its place.
“Something else you want to see?” Wide
innocent eyes the color of a night sky delved into mine.
“Yeah. You. Naked.” On my bed.
I lead her upstairs without another word
spoken. In my bedroom, I switched on a small light because I was not about to
waste this opportunity. Our lips crashed together, and hers were warm and
pliable, her tongue motherfucking acrobatic as it danced and dived around mine.
For a moment, we tasted each other outside of our mouths, lips held open,
tongues touching, and it was so hot I broke away with a groan.
“I need . . .”
“What do you need, baby?” JB’s voice had
lowered to a dirty gritty lusty tone.
My cock lay at an awkward angle inside the
constricting jeans. I popped open the top buttons, worked my hand inside, and
straightened myself. The wet engorged tip kissed my stomach, stretching beyond
the waist of my jeans. “Needed some breathing room.”
“Show me.”
I arched an eyebrow.
“If your cock’s so hard because of me you
can’t fit in your jeans anymore, I deserve to see what I’m getting.”
Far be it for me to argue. I drew my shirt
off and tossed it aside.
My cock needed no coercion making an
appearance. Another couple inches pulsed out of the opening, splitting the
denim wide.
“Good lord,” JB gasped. “You’ve got girth.”
My shoulders shook with a laugh. “Girth?”
“Holy shit, yeah. You’re . . . um”—she pulled her top lip through her
teeth, leaving it shiny and still lipstick red—“thick as my wrist. See?”
She lined up her hand with my shaft butting
out of the jeans. My thighs tensed at the touch of her skin against mine. I
glanced down then slammed my eyes shut. She wasn’t wrong.
“Oh my God.” Her hands flew to my chest,
and I looked at her through half-slit eyes.
Her touch ignited the fire racing to my
nads. “What?”
“Chest hair, too. Sexy.” She tweaked my
flat brown nipples and I shuddered hard.
I was a man, yeah I had chest hair, a black
smattering across my pecs that formed a straight line down my abs and beyond.
She seemed to approve, rubbing her cheek
against the light pelt then attaching her hot moist mouth to my skin, on the
move to my stomach.
“Not so fast.” I pulled her up. “Fair’s
fair. Top off.”
Crossing both arms at the hem, she winked
before pulling the longsleeve up and off. Encased in a sheer black bra, her
tits bounced, and her nipples were dark, coin-sized, pebbled. As I’d imagined,
hoped, fantasized, she had tiny dots of freckles on her shoulders and across
the high, full, creamy mounds.
Pulling her to my chest, I looked down her
back. Those tempting butterfly tats increased in size the lower they were inked
on her spine until the largest—bright blue, violet, and black—decorated her
skin just above the dimples of her ass.
Finding what I was looking for, I snapped
open the clasp of her bra. I hooked one strap then the other off her shoulders.
When I pushed JB a step back, the bra fell to floor.
I ran my hands from the flair of her hips
to the indent of her waist, over her ribs and up to her breasts. Cupping the
twin mounds of so-soft flesh, I watched her plum-colored  nipples peek between my fingers.
“Gorgeous.” I bent, kissing one nub with a
lingering suck then the other. I crouched even farther, trailing the tip of my
tongue from her belly button and up through her deep cleavage. “Freckles,” I
moaned. “I love your freckles.”
I tongued all the little dots I could find,
palming her generous tits, scraping my thumbs across her nipples.
She raked her fingers through my hair
before tugging on it. “My turn to see more.”
I stared at her breasts, frowning. “For a
small woman, you sure are bossy.”
JB cupped her tits, pinching her nipples.
“Small?”

“You’ve got a beautiful cock, Hunter.”
Oh dear God!
“Gonna suck it so good now.”
She slid her lips up one side of my shaft then the other. I watched, out
of my head horny.
When her saliva mixed with my precome, she smacked her lips against the
engorged purple head. She sucked on me, just to the rim and back.
“Is this what you wanted?” JB looked up with big innocent eyes. “Want to
feel dirty with me?”
I held her face between my hands and drove up into her mouth.
After that first touch, I let her blow me how she wanted. My toes curled.
My back bowed. I pulled the bottom sheet clear off the bed and struggled to
hold back.
She came up for a breather with a smile, holding my cock in her hand. She
stroked me, looking at the bulge of veins that stood in relief when she
squeezed tighter.
“Can’t get you all the way inside, but maybe you’ll like this.” She
flipped her hair forward and wrapped the silky strands around the base of my
cock.
She went back to sucking and kissing my tip, stroking my length with her
hair. The thought of the smell of my cock on her hair pulled a loud shout from
me.
My balls drew up, turned hard, and almost traveled inside my body, my
release was so imminent. But Jessica released me, blowing a hot soft stream of
breath along my shaft.
“Fuck,” I growled. “Please. Need to come.”
She skimmed her teeth along the helmet of my head, and gently bit down.
My head knocked back.
“My big tough man likes that?” She bit me again. “You like it a little
rough?”
The pain was just enough to heighten my senses, the soft lips afterward
mind-blowingly intense. “God, Jessica . . . what you do to me should be
illegal.”

An hour later, I slid onto my motorcycle.
Helmet in hand, I ramped the Deus Grievous Angel to life.
JB materialized next to me, huddling inside
her padded leather jacket. “Sorry about before. Rayce has issues.”
“And where’s your bodyguard now?”
“I don’t need one.” She unfolded her arms,
and her jacket gaped open at her chest. She took my helmet from my hands and
slung it onto the handlebar.
“Beg to differ.” She definitely needed
protection from me.
JB made the first move, I’d testify to that
shit in court. She leaned over me and licked her lips. Then my hands were in
her hair, burrowing deeper, and I dragged her to my mouth. She straddled me
when I lifted her onto my lap. The moist touch of her tongue parted my lips.
I groaned, opening up to her talented
lunges, following the sleek kisses into her mouth where our tongues collided. I
wanted to thrust down her throat with my cock. Rip her pants apart and fuck her
until she screamed. Take her on my motorcycle and spray my come all over her
body. The intensity of my reaction steered all coherent thought from my head.
The soul-searing kiss lit me up inside. I
wanted more.
Bad move. One of my worst. I’d regret it
later. Right now I’d savor the way JB moaned, riding my thigh, getting off on
me.
I wanted to have this for one more minute.
I
wanted her.
I couldn’t have her. I shouldn’t stain her.
My soul wasn’t even intact.
With a growl, I pushed her off me. I
steadied her with a hand on her hip as she found her footing.
“What’s your
problem?” JB frowned, her lips swollen from my kisses.
“I can’t. Not with you. Not like this.” I
wouldn’t meet her eyes.
“Damn right you can’t. I’m too good for
you.” She zipped her jacket all the way to the chin.
Nothing hotter than a woman with an
attitude who knew what she wanted, but I couldn’t take advantage.
“Exactly.” I throttled my raging black bike,
shouting over the roar of pipes, “We agree. Never gonna happen.”
Peeling out of the parking lot, I glanced
back one last time. Big mistake. JB stood under the halo of a streetlight with
one stiff middle finger raised in my direction. And I wanted her even more.
Not
gonna happen.
Only one good thing had come out of my life, and I had
nothing left to give.

Excerpt

The rest of my family arrives with the late afternoon. There’s an awkward trepidation surrounding each of them before they approach me, and although it makes me feel slightly guilty, I’m a little grateful for it as well. It allows me to soak into a familiar level of numbness that only seems to briefly break when Jameson arrives. His familiar smile falters when he sees me, but he replaces it quickly and pulls me into a hug.

Chicken pot pie is our family’s traditional Christmas Eve dinner, and although I was glad to not have a traditional meal on Thanksgiving with Fitz’s family, I’m even more glad to have the comforting aroma and taste of my mom’s chicken pot pie.

“Ace, do you want some more bread?” Savannah asks, lifting the bread basket and tilting it in my direction. I think I’ve already had this same question posed to me nine other times.

“I’m good thanks.”

“How about some more fried apples?” my mom asks, doing as Savannah had and reaching for the bowl in front of her.

I try to think of a polite way to tell them all to stop bothering me about eating when a glint catches my eye with my mom’s movement. My hand snatches hers and before I realize what I’m doing, I’m gripping her hand too tightly. Bile rises in my throat, forcing me to swallow painfully.

“We were going to tell you all tonight,” she begins. Her hand grows rigid and she attempts to slip her fingers from my hold. I squeeze tighter. “We wanted you to all find out together.”

“What in the hell is wrong with you?” I shout, dropping her hand and retracting mine because I don’t want to touch her. I don’t even want to look at her. I shove my chair back and stand up, not caring what the others are doing in reaction.

“Harper Jo, sit down,” my mom orders, her voice louder than I’ve heard it in years, possibly ever.

I keep walking.

Her quick footsteps follow me. I know that it’s her because of the sound of her heels. My mom has always worn shoes to dinner, and ninety percent of her shoe closet consists of high heels, and right now this fact annoys the hell out of me.

I turn to face her when I reach the kitchen. My mouth opens, preparing to let loose on the anger fueling me, but she beats me to it. “You get back in there this instant! You do not get to judge me, young lady. This is my house, and in my house you respect me. Now get back in there and eat something. You look horrible.” Her tone inflicts a pain that I want to return.

“It hasn’t even been a year!” The volume of my accusation hurts my own ears. “Did you ever even love him?”

Her face contorts, changing from shock to anger to something that looks nearly wicked. “That’s quite the question coming from you, when you packed your bags and left everyone without looking over your shoulder.”

“I hate you right now.” My voice comes out balanced and heat races through me. I was never the rebellious teenager. In all of my life, I never did scream these same words at my mom like I’d heard Mindi, Jenny, Kendall, and even Savannah do on different occasions. But right now, all I feel toward her is hatred that blinds me from any other emotion.

“I’m not so fond of you lately either, kiddo.”

“Then why in the hell did you make such a big deal about me coming home?”

“It was a mistake.” Her light blue eyes look glacial as she stares directly into mine without a hint of regret or remorse.

“I guess you can add it to your list, behind getting engaged within seven months of your husband dying.” My words are far quieter this time. I don’t have the energy to scream them at her like I want to. I use the small amount of what is left to turn before she can respond and head out to the backyard.

My pain feels like a living, breathing thing, consuming me inch by inch as her words play over in my head. My mom’s getting married. The heat that had filled me seconds ago fades, replaced by an icy chill. As I look into the pool that once only held fun and an escape, my body begins to sway. I want to escape again. I want to escape from everything.

Not even the familiar pool holds a warm embrace for me. The water is far cooler than what it has always been kept at, making my skin prickle as I sink further into the abyss. I open my eyes as I go, looking out into a never ending sea of blue.

Arms grab me before I can fully appreciate the beauty of the water and the bubbles floating from my throat to the surface where blurred lights dance. They pull me against a large body that feels sharp in contrast to the open water. As we plunge through the surface, into the night air, I hear him take in a deep breath. He is still anchoring me against him, pulling me toward the shallow end.

I don’t resist. I don’t know what I was doing coming in here. I’m sure he’s thinking I’m insane, or trying to kill myself. I’m not. I wasn’t. I just needed to feel something that didn’t hurt.

Swimsuits, sun, surfing, and a sexy Samoan.

I headed to the island of Oahu, Hawaii to meet with cutting-edge swimsuit fashion designer, Angel D’Amico, to serve as head model for the “Beauty Comes in All Sizes” swimsuit campaign. The designer wants to show the world that beauty is not just a size two. My curves got me into this gig, and, the moment I laid eyes on my modeling “partner,” I’d never been happier with my buxom form.

Tai Niko had everything the average man lacked. Height, broad shoulders, a nipped in waist, square pecs, tree trunk thighs, and a look that rivaled “The Rock.” The part that made me drool and weakened my knees, was the thick, intricate tribal tattoos running down the entire left side of his muscled frame from shoulder to ankle. The design was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and I couldn’t wait to trace the tips of my fingers over every inch.

***

In the fifth book of the Calendar Girl serial, Mia is sent to Oahu, HI. Still on her mission to save her father, she embraces the model life to prove beauty really does come in all sizes.

Each installment in the Calendar Girl Serial will release every month throughout 2015. The stories will feature Mia’s journey as an escort to twelve clients in twelve different locations.

Warning: This book is designed for audiences 18+ due to language and graphic sexual content.

Excerpt

The edge of the mattress bumped his knees and he lowered them both across the bed. Her hips welcomed him, arching up to meet his thrust. Nails stroked lightly across his neck, dragging a ragged groan from him.

“You’d better get rid of these clothes before I tear them off you, baby. I can’t wait.” That voice grabbed him by the balls and spurred him on.

Kellen stood long enough to kick off his boots and folded his cut across the back of the chair against the wall. Jeans and shirt followed. “You better get rid of that dress, little girl, before I finish ripping it off you.”

A lazy smile curved her lips. “I dare you.”

A surge of pure heat settled in his belly. “I was hoping you’d say that.” The torn edge of her gown felt thin as tissue between his fingers as he lifted it away from her body. The tear ended at the top of her shapely thigh, tempting him to rip it the rest of the way and reveal all of her. But no. He’d looked forward to this moment too much to rush. He fully intended to take his sweet time.

Instead of devouring her immediately, he dropped to his knees beside the bed. The fancy shoes intrigued him, the way they emphasized the delicate arch of her foot and the fragile bones of her ankle. Rather than remove them, he kissed along the curve of her instep and found his way to her calf.

An impatient noise came from her and she moved to pull away, but he held her fast. “Kellen, please, this is not time for foreplay.” She hissed a little when his tongue found the back of her knee.

“Little girl, this ain’t foreplay. This is me making every inch of you mine.” The moan of frustration she made brought a smile to his lips. She would be as finely tuned to him as his bike before he finished, ready to respond to his every thought.

Excerpt
Cassie was glad Luke had decided to drive back because her hands were
shaking with a mixture of excitement and nerves. They tried to make
light conversation, but the sexual tension between them was too much to
sustain a topic. They walked into her kitchen together; the mounting anticipation was
palpable. Cassie didn’t realize she was hanging onto the doorknob until
Luke gave her a curious look.“We don’t have to do this if you’re not ready, Cassie,” he said gently.

She’d felt brave in the restaurant and excited on the drive, but now,
back at her place, she was nervous. “I am. At least I think I am. It’s
just been a long time.”

He caressed the side of her neck lightly with one hand, and she sucked in an audible breath. “How long?”

His touch sparked flames of desire through her. She closed her eyes and
savored the feeling before answering in a whisper, “Four, maybe five
years.”

She opened one eye and peered up at him to assess his reaction. His expression was difficult to discern. “You don’t remember?”

Cassie turned her head away. “I was lonely, and he didn’t matter. I
didn’t even know his last name. I’m not proud of who I was back then. I
wasn’t in a good place.”

Tenderly, Luke turned Cassie’s face back toward his. “Don’t hide from me, Cassie. You can tell me anything.”

Cassie blinked back tears. Unless I tell you I may be pregnant. I can guarantee that would be a mood breaker. “Why am I so nervous? It’s not like I’m a virgin.”

He unbuttoned his coat, lifted her hand, and placed it on his chest
above his heart. “You’re not my first either, Cassie, but can you feel
that? My heart is beating like I just finished a sprint. Do you know
why? Because unlike every other time, this feels different—like I’ve
been waiting my whole life for this moment.”

Cassie’s hand shook against his chest. His heart, like hers, was indeed beating a wild dance. “We barely know each other.”

He placed his other hand over hers on the doorknob. “We can fix that.”
He gave her that lopsided, boyish grin of his that melted her heart.
Again. “But you’ll have to let go of the door, Cupcake.”

She laughed nervously and did. He took her hand in his and brought it up
to his mouth, kissing the inside of her wrist while never breaking eye
contact with her. “Let’s go upstairs to your room. We don’t have to
rush. I want to make love to you slowly, learn every inch of you, and
watch you come again and again for me.”

He swung her up in his arms and carried her out of the kitchen, up the
stairs, and into her bedroom as if she were precious to him. Cassie
buried her face in his neck and clung to him. His consideration for her
almost brought her to tears. She was used to people who took from her.
Even if he left before she woke in the morning, she wouldn’t regret
choosing to be with him. He wasn’t like the fumbling boyfriends she’d
had in high school, or the selfish short-term lovers she’d experienced
as an adult. He was a man who knew how to please a woman and intended to
enjoy doing that.
