Evan and Mia are thrown together in the ICU after he drives his car over the edge of a bridge, killing his passenger immediately. Evan was rushed to a private Seattle hospital where Mia is his nurse. She works at drawing him from his coma but has no idea who she is actually summoning. The man who went over the bridge in that car, the man known to his family and co-workers as “The Beast” teeters on the brink of death, ready and willing to make his way to hell. But when he feels the magnetic pull of Mia’s presence, hears her luring whispers, feels the electric voltage of her touch on his skin, he knows, he’s not going anywhere, not until he can see the face that belongs to his savior’s voice.

Love born from tragedy never lasts, that’s what they say. Right? There will never be a more unlikely pair than Evan Lawson and Mia Galloway. Two people who come from completely different worlds, but sharing one thing in common…dark terrifying pasts. After a fatal car accident Evan is offered up by a co-worker to Mia as the ultimate patient. They fall for each other…hard. But this isn’t an easy love; no this is a love of manipulation, passion and possessiveness. The terror of Mia’s past, combined with Evans alpha male personality and mysterious unknown history, cause Mia to fall into a spiral of depression that nearly drives her over the edge. Evan has had enough of Mia’s fears and failing health and decides to take matters into his own hands. But will he be too late? Has someone from his past or hers beaten him to the task? Mia disappears from her hospital bed after being drugged. She floats in and out of consciousness trying to understand where she’s going, who has taken her and what the hell is going on.
One step forward two steps back, that’s how it’s always been for Mia and Evan. The love they share is rare and unique, crossing boundaries and overcoming obstacles. Together they just might have a chance at a happy life, but if one falls the other is destined to crumble, living without one another is not an option. You go, I go.
It’s dangerous to love so hard that life doesn’t seem worth living without your other half. Evan walked a tightrope between life and death choosing life when he heard Mia coaxing him to wake from a coma. Now they must balance together, taking turns catching the other before they fall. Determined to make a new life for Mia and himself Evan tirelessly focuses on erasing the man he used to be. Stamping out all traces of the homicidal DOM mafia leader he was before his accident. But around every bend there seems to be yet another reminder of the man everyone calls the Beast. Mia struggles with the stories and confessions of Evan’s past, but imagining a life without him is unfathomable. Evan and Mia must learn to trust and forgive, forget and move forward…but even when they are both on the same page, someone or something seems to be standing in their way, waiting to steal their happily ever after…

In early 2014 after reading upwards of 300 romance novels in a years time a coworker planted the seed of writing her own novel. She showed it to several friends and asked if it would be something they might be interesting in reading, the response was a resounding “Yes!” from everyone. With that confidence booster she began writing and in the fall published her first romance novel Dark Kiss which is the first in The Two Sides of Me trilogy. Dark Thief, book two was completed and published in January of 2015 and the final installment Dark Love is currently in the works and will be released in the spring of 2015. “I never imagined writing a novel let alone a romance novel! I’m addicted to sharing the feeling I used to get when reading my favorite books and I can’t imagine my life without writing now.” Amy says she will always work as a nurse in some aspect but after releasing the story of Evan and Mia there is no way she can deny the compulsion to develop new characters and write romance novels.
