I am at a loss for words. This book just blew me out of the water. I need Defiant Queen hmmm ……..LAST WEEK would be good!!! Wow Meghan is just amazing. Most of the book I had no clues what to expect next. WOW!!!!!

Getting to know Keira is amazing. You get to know a very strong determined woman that refuse to cave when most would. Taking on the family business that is in serious trouble, she refuses to give up what three generations have come to build. What a lie in store for her is going to be the most changelings when Lachlan Mount comes to collect the debit she has no clue was owed. Lachlan Mount is the one you just want to hate and yet you find yourself falling for his charm. Mount runs New Orleans all fear him; nothing is done without his approval.

This book just keeps you wanting more and more. The suspense in it is just amazing! I’m looking forward to reading Defiant Queen, biting my nails in wait!

Braeden hit him again. “What the fuck? Shut the hell up.” He pushed Dallas out the door and they all followed him. So Kellan agreed to the bet? That was mighty bold of him.

I could hear steps on the hardwood floor behind me. “You all right?” Chris asked.

Turning on my heel, I smiled. “Yep.” If Kellan was trying to win the bet, he wasn’t trying very hard. But then again, maybe five hundred dollars was nothing compared to the money he earned. I used to make a good living, but at least I was able to retrieve the money I had in the bank before my supposed death. Having that money helped, especially since I didn’t make nearly as much working at the pub. Hopefully soon I’d be back to doing what I loved.

“Why don’t you go home? I can finish up here,” Chris offered.

“You sure? I don’t mind staying.”

He shook his head. “Go. You do enough here as it is.”

I hurried behind the bar and grabbed my purse. “Thanks, Chris. After all the training Aylee puts me through, I’m exhausted by nine o’clock.”

“I can imagine.” He laughed. “I know not to mess with you now.”

Aylee taught me many self-defense techniques and how to fight. Before, I had no clue what to do if someone attacked me. After everything that happened with Mitchell and Cole, I had to make sure I was ready for anything. At least now, I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore.

I waved goodbye to Chris and then walked out the door. The night was cool and I breathed in the clean air; the smell of rain was near. We needed it after the long, dry summer we had. Looking over at my car, I didn’t realize there was a truck parked next to me with someone leaning against it. It wasn’t just anysomeone, either.

“Where were you tonight?” I asked, looking straight at Kellan’s smiling face. He had on a pair of jeans that hung low on his hips with a snug green T-shirt that showed off his perfectly sculpted arms. Why did he have to be so sexy? Not to mention, he had perfectly straight, white teeth, which I thought would be a rarity among hockey players.

“So you missed me, huh?”

His smile was infectious and I caught myself smiling back. “I wouldn’t say missed, but I was curious where you were. I saw what you did to Maddox.”

He shrugged. “It had to be done. Maddox has a large fucking head and needed to be brought down.”

I held up my hands. “You don’t have to explain. I, of all, people know what kind of head he has.” It was the size of the entire country.

Chuckling, he stepped forward, his gaze roaming over my body. “You seem different tonight. It’s not very often you smile.”

I hadn’t had a reason to, but I couldn’t tell him that. “Maybe it’s because I know something you don’t.”

“Oh yeah? What’s that?”

“Uh, I don’t know, perhaps something about a bet?”

Wow where to start, well as you know Alessandra is a cop that loves her job just doesn’t play by all the rules all the time. Something dark lurks deep in her that has a yearning to come out.

Felix is the V.P. of the Sin City Outlaws who run Las Vegas. He can have any women he wants at any given time but question why he is so drawn to Alessandra. She is a cop, the one line her refuse to cross, yet he finds his self-stuck watching out for her when trouble comes to call.

These two are going to take you for a ride you will not want to end. I impressed how strong Alessandra was as a character. She wasn’t one that just fell in to the story no she push right up to the very front. Felix just makes everything melt away when he come on scene. I was just blown away with the story these to have to tell. I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Excerpt

“So, you came here to what, let loose?” I ask suggestively, lust hanging from the tip of my tongue.

She looks up through hooded eyes, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.

Taking a small step, I invade her space. Using my finger, I tuck it firmly under her chin making her look me in the eyes. God, she’s so fucking soft to touch, my hands itch to take advantage of her body and soul. That’s what I do, I devour innocent women, and scar their souls to the point they’re damaged goods.

“Were you going to fuck one of my men tonight, Alessandra?” I ask hastily.

Her throat bobs as she swallows, fire igniting her eyes as she pulls away. She’s a pistol and not the kind you love and shine every day with care. More like the kind you’re scared to use because it may backfire on you at any minute.

“So what if I was? Why do you care?” She raises a challenging brow, her voice sharp. A burning sensation combusts in my chest thinking about her riding one of my guy’s dicks.

“I forbid you to open your legs to any of my brothers, do you understand?” My rash decision comes from an unknown place. An insatiable hunger beading at the tip of my dick.

Her jaw drops, and her hands curl into fists.

“Who do you think you are to dictate who I screw?” she scowls.

My temples pound with annoyance and anger, done with this back and forth.

Leaning down my lips a hair’s length away from her face, I intimidate her to the point she looks away and purses her lips.

“Maybe you didn’t get the memo, Blue Bird, but now that Zeek is playing daddy… I run this fucking city. Therefore, I say who you fuck, and don’t fuck.”

Her chocolate eyes snap to mine, and I know I have her full attention. Which I want, I want her to look at me, to really see me. All of me.
