A devilish, almost villainous grin graced his lips as his eyes filled with amusement. “Oh, Gabriella, you’ve no idea,” he said. “I shouldn’t do this. I shouldn’t be here, but I can’t seem to help myself.”

His words caught me off guard as his hands gripped my hips and he pushed me backwards until the brick of the wall bit into the skin of my lower back. He leaned down until his lips were dangerously close to mine. My insides quivered, and my heart leaped into my throat. For an entire week, I’d been waiting for his hands to be on me again, and now that he was right there, I knew I’d die if he didn’t touch me. Kiss me. Take me home and ravish me like he had that first night.

“Adrian,” I whispered, surprised at the breathy, sultry tone of my voice. God, it’d only been a week and I was already dangerously addicted to him.

I signed up for the release blitz for The Light House and was offered the chance to review the book. I tossed it around a little and decided to give in to the pull I had to this book. There was just something that kept pulling me to this book. I’ll be honest the first invite I received for this book I tossed. I have to tell you that I’m very glad the second offer came in. Jason has some amazing talent beyond what I could ever put in to words. This man takes you in to the story and has you living it, seeing it and feeling everything these characters are.

I was blown away by the feeling that was drawn out as I read The Light House. You are taken in to a Connie’s world and shown just what if feels like to be lied and taken down to the lowest point that anyone could be. Connie leaves to get away from the controlling relationship she is in. When Connie stumbles on to Blake, who trying to bury his troubles and hide from a life that was once full of promises for him, she shakes his world up.

I was pulled to Connie, she is a very strong willed person that is willing to do the work and not afraid to find the answers she is looking for. She goes full force when she finds something she feels is worth fighting for. Blake on the other had is closed off, making you want to find out what is holding him back. You are pulled to him wanting to know what has caused him to build walls around him and not let anyone in. I felt as though I was right there with them walking the beach, seeing the paint on the canvas of Blake’s work. Jason takes you in to points in this amazing story so well that you swear you can see everything that is being described to you. It’s like looking at the ocean always changing but, you never going to feel the same feelings about it.

I give The Light House a 5 star review hands down. There is so many emotions that you feel and experience within this book that you are amazed at the talent that Jason bring out. This man has been touched with the gift of words. Amazingly written book.

I love writing
(obvious since I’m on here, right?) I don’t have a specific genre – I just write
whatever story manifests itself inside my brain.Writing is like therapy. There is nothing else that I can lose myself in the
way I can a story. It amazes me that words can take you away from reality
and leave you in a dazed state once you’ve finished.

Aside from writing, I love sloths and mythology. I kind of have a thing for
vampires, because let’s face it, something about the fact that they fight the

irrational fear of the zombie apocalypse. I honestly cannot imagine a more
horrifying way to go than by being ripped to shreds by a mass of mumbling,
decaying, and oozing corpses with clicking teeth. Ugh! I just shuddered typing
it.

Now the boring basics: I’m married with two wonderful children. I
grew up in the south listening to a ton of grunge rock. Me and my sister have
an obsession with going to concerts and getting front and center. We often
fight over who can get the most swag from the band. I have an unhealthy obsession
with Russell Brand’s mind, and the smell of crayons is the most soothing smell
there is.

I hope if you read my work that you will enjoy it. After all, writing is the
most amazing magic trick of all… it puts the reader in the mind of the writer
(kind of creepy if you think about it). It’s scary inside my brain, watch
out!

Mandy Lou Dowson was born and raised in a small town in Ireland, in 1983. Family is a huge deal to Mandy. She has three wonderful children, and a Siberian Husky who only does what she’s told if there’s something in it for her. When she’s not writing, reading, or plotting her next book – or, you know, world domination -, she likes to relax with a few glasses of wine and some karaoke. She has a keen interest in special effects make-up and is part of a dramatical society which puts on one show and one concert each year.
