Where to begin on telling you how much I love this book! The action and Charters seem to just explode off the pages at you. Ryker is all alpha male; you can’t get enough of him. Faith is going to just break your heart! So much hurt that you want to fix everything for her and slap her all at the same time! The spark that is between Ryker and Faith is just unbelievable. I love every minute of this book and could not put it down until I turn the last page, then I still didn’t want the story to end. Stacey did an awesome job bring the charters and story to life. Ignoring her comment, and what had to be her
obvious discomfort, Ryan stepped forward, leaned over her to balance his shot
glass about two inches under her navel.
Heather always put it at the base of her ribcage, so a little would
spill into her navel, but Ryan had put his lower. Her muscles contracted there, as the cold
glass touched her skin. She thought
about him licking her up to the glass, the amber liquid sloshed in the glass,
and he frowned.

“No
spilling, Twy, or there will be consequences.”
His eyes met hers and his pupils were dilated almost as large as the
blue irises. His breathing came in short
spurts, and she could see his pulse pounding at the side of his throat. The look on his handsome face said, he would
relish delivering those unknown consequences.
“By the time I’m done, I’ll really need that drink.”

A shiver
worked itself up her body from her toes, and the glass wobbled again. She gasped and contracted her muscles to steady
it. Agitation bristled through her. “Why don’t you just have the damned shot
then, and get on with this?” That’s what
she really wanted.

His hand
clamped on her ankle, and he grinned.
“Patience is a virtue, darlin’.
Slow is not always a bad thing, and I’m about to teach you that, and a
lot more.” His voice was heavy with
anticipation, and his sensual threat was punctuated by his tongue making a trip
slow around his hot lips. Her eyes
followed it around and heat sizzled along her nerves to singe her at the apex
of her thighs. Maybe this is why all
those bunnies she saw leaving his trailer were smiling. They must have had the patience Ryan was
talking about, and liked that Ryan was slow as a turtle in his lovemaking. Twyla wasn’t sold on it yet, but decided to
try to find the patience he asked her to have.
She huffed a breath then relaxed and uncurled her fists.

What the
hell did she know about all this, anyway?
She was green as grass at this, he knew what he was doing. Had done it many times. Too many.

“Get on
with it, then,” she grumbled, settling her focus on keeping that shot glass
steady on her lower abdomen. Ryan’s dark
head appeared in her line of vision, and Twyla gasped.

His eyes
met hers over the plane of her tummy, and were filled with mischief and
purpose. His hot breath tickled her thighs when he warned, “Keep it still,
Twyla. Remember, no spilling.”

He slid his
hands behind her calves, and under her thighs to hold her hands at her sides. Turning his face, he planted a wet kiss on
her inner thigh, before his mouth latched there and he sucked, while his tongue
swirled on her skin. Fire zipped up to
her core, and Twyla whimpered. The glass
wobbled again and she knew then that she was in big trouble.

Becky
McGraw is a married mother of three adult children, and a Southern girl
by birth and the grace of God, ya’ll. She resides in South Texas with
her husband and dog Abby.

A
jack of many trades in her life, Becky has been an optician, a
beautician, a legal secretary, a senior project manager for an aviation
management consulting firm, which took her all over the United States, a

About The Author

I was born on a cold day in January. They said I was the only baby in the hospital. They also said that I picked my head up twice to turn away from people who came to see me after I was born (Who wants strangers looking at you after such a life altering event while you are naked?). Not much has changed. That cold day was 30 years ago in South Carolina. Needless to say, I got the twang! At the ripe age of 22, I married my man bear pig hubby who happens to be from Chicago. I learned that there are people who do not have accents, who sound like they have accents because they don’t have accents. Mind blowing there. Our love story is pretty nifty. I met him online when I was 15 and chatted with him for four years, on and off as friends, until we met and I showed him some southern charm and BAM! Here we are ten years later with eight years of marriage and several fur persons rounding out the family thus far! My writing started as a child when I tried to write about three pewter statues of wizards coming to life. Books and words have always been a passion for me. My mind is incredibly random, if you talk to me for more than ten minutes, it becomes painfully obvious. I draw inspiration from absolutely anything and everything I come in contact with, with particular emphasis on music, pictures and the crazy situations in life. I hadn’t even meant to steal the stupid thing, but the shirt had been mixed up with my laundry a few days ago. It’d been the first top I laid my hand on after stepping out of the shower, ready to go to bed. Without thought, I’d put it on and it’d been so soft, the scent of him lingering beneath the laundry detergent. Every night since, I’d found myself in it come bedtime. My shame knew no limits. And no, I still hadn’t quit. The words still hadn’t come even close to leaving my mouth.

He frowned. “No.”

“That I have some deep secret longing to feel close to you resulting in my stealing your shirt like some creepy perv?”

“Course I don’t fucking think that,” he replied crankily, reaching up to grip the top of the doorframe. All of his bulging muscles stretched the arms of his white T-shirt in the nicest way. It was all I could do not to start drooling, my heart beat taking up residence somewhere down between my thighs. And who could blame it? Not me. Maybe if I got laid, this would go away and things would return to normal. It’d seemed safer to avoid rubbing up against any men just in case I got carried away and started dating again. This new situation, however, changed everything.

“Well, of course not! That would be crazy.” And wasn’t that the god’s honest truth? Cray-zeee. Lock me up and throw away the key because it wasn’t like I didn’t know better.

EXCERPT

He inches his face towards mine, and I too edge forward, so not in control of my actions right now, because kissing him is the only thing I can think of. But then I remember he’s drunk, and this kiss will be meaningless in the morning.

Pulling back and shaking my head, in hopes of knocking some sense into my lust-filled brain, I whisper, “You’re drunk, Jasper.”

Jasper smiles, but it’s a sad smile.

His eyes focus on mine as he confesses, “I’m drunk on you. You’re my poison, Ava, and I don’t know how to stop consuming you.”

A breath catches in my throat as words that should be interpreted harshly, aren’t at all perceived that way. I don’t know how to reply, so I don’t. I close my eyes and take five steadying breaths.

I am a mother, a wife, a substitute teacher and now a writer! I love to read and write. I discovered the world of indie books about a year and a half ago. Since then I have read over 200 books.
